This 2 bedroom plus loft suite offers high end finishes throughout. The unit has 2 king beds as well as 2 single beds in the loft. The unit is equipped with a full kitchen and all the accruements you need for the finest vacation. The suite offers a great oceanfront view and the complex boasts an oceanfront pool and hot tub, outdoor cooking area, game area and small work out area.

Kona Makai is an oceanfront condominium complex of about 100 one and two bedroom units located one mile from the beautiful town of Kailua-Kona. Amenities include an ocean-side swimming pool, jacuzzi, tennis courts, cabana area and barbecue area. The whole complex is surrounded by lush manicured and landscaped gardens overflowing with tropical flowers. Enjoy spectacular ocean views, sipping a cup of Kona Coffee while dolphins and whales are splashing around right in front of your Lanai.

The complex has direct access to the black lava Coast of the Pacific ocean for spectacular snorkeling and/or diving and is just a couple of miles down the shoreline from several wonderful beaches with opportunities to enjoy the graceful green sea turtles.

Downtown Kailua-Kona, about one mile away for easy access to shopping, businesses, restaurants and hotels. Watch the people and the cruise ships come and go from the Kailua Pier. Visit the famous Farmer's Market. Enjoy a shave ice or a cup of Kona coffee, have a light snack or a gourmet meal, buy an inexpensive souvenir or a piece of fine art, book an activity, go for a swim or hang out at the beach. Everthing satisfactory except a couple of minor details:

Items not provided which would make for more convenience, such as cooking oil, vegetable peeler, a larger cutting board.

Beach towels provided, but guest is required to launder them before leaving. Smalll capacity washer and slow dryer made this an unreasonable requirement.

Overall, excellent. Our big disappointment was that we were told when booking a month's rental, we would be given first priority for the 2013 rental. Sadly, that was not the case when we arrived and tried to make the next year's reservation. A new reservation clerk apparently made a mistake, but we are the ones that suffered. We have found another rental, but this has left a very bad view of Prince Properties.

We enjoyed our stay at your spacious condo and look forward to coming back sometime. No problmens, kitchen had any cooking item we could want for making dinner. We enjoyed the lanai for coffee in the morning and listening to the ocean. Very peaceful. Everything was in working order and you will see us back.

The condo was very nice, comfortable, well supplied and well located - just enough out of town to be quiet, but close enough for a nice walk. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our balcony and could watch the dolphins swim by each morning around 8! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We will certainly consider this same complex/condo for our next Hawaiian vacation!

We just stayed in the Kona Makai unit 2-301. THE AIR CONDITIONER IN THE MAIN LIVING AREA DOES NOT WORK!!!!!! THE UNIT WAS EXTREMELY HOT, OVER 90 DEGREES ON SOME DAYS. THE AC NEVER GETS THE MAIN LIVING ARE COOL.

We spent 11 nights at this property. Prior to going the reviews were mixed. Seems like only those with children were not happy. We were very satisfied as this is pretty much all adults, which is what we like. The residents, property manager,guests and grounds maintenance guy were all very welcoming and friendly. If you are a smoker (which we are not) this property is not for you. No smoking anywhere. The pool could have been warmer but overall we were very satisfied and would return and likely will.

Overall everything was great and we will most likely be return. Only issues were ants, waking up to a cockroach on me, and due to lack of elevators free ground level storage would make it much more appealing to divers.

It's a real quiet place. Really no other kids on the property, but we weren't around much during the day. Very convenient and easy to use. Loved having the full kitchen and great eating area to save a few bucks on a couple of meals.

We've stayed in many vacation homes over the years. This was among the best. The location on the ocean combined spectacular views with accessible recreation large and small. The property was all that was advertised. Minor issues the owner should look into (or is already looking into) include the wireless internet access, which only worked well on the Lanai, and the screen doors and blinds (front entry and lanai), which did not close well.
Everything else was comfortable. We will stay here again when we return to Kona.

bad knee - but since there was nothing comparable available, we chose to stay and limit my walking up and down. I do not consider myself disabled, but have a bad knee. It did not dawn on me to ask if there was an elevator - nor did it dawn on the rental agency to mention this. I might suggest there be a mention to future renters. It is a lovely location an my grandchildren and son thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rental office was supportive. We have no complaints - only memories of a delightful stay in Kona. Thank you.

The condo was very pretty, clean,and quiet, The beds were very comfortable, and we had a great view.
They do have a lot of rules, and the internet was a bit of a challenge. Definetly a place for adults, not children. Overall, I liked it a lot.

our only complaint with the unit was that one of the air conditioners was broken and it wasn't fixed until we were 3 days into our vacation - other than that, everyone was helpful and polite and the location was beautiful and very quiet. We would definitely consider another trip here. It is less than 2 miles from downtown for shopping and food as well.
